The platforms of the tail lifts, when open and in a horizontal position, risk being a dangerous and inconspicuous object. It is for this reason that most manufacturers provide solutions that highlight them. These include: reflective signal flags, adhesive strips to be placed in the perimeter aluminum profiles, and flashing lights. The latter are placed on the loading platform, in the two outer corners and emit a flashing yellow or orange light. In this way, static and movement visibility of the platform is guaranteed, even at night or in environments with little light.
The old lights were fitted with simple torpedo bulbs, the kind also used in the side marker lights in trucks. The arrival of LED technologies has also involved this product. In many cases, the flashing function has also been integrated into the lights. Once, there was a separate device on the electrical board or placed along the power cable, which generated the intermittent signal. Precisely for this reason and to avoid burning new lights or reducing their life time, it is good to make sure of the type of signal we have on the power cable, where we will connect them.
