Pins

The pins, are joining elements used in the moving parts of the tail lift, which allow all the movements it can achieve. For example, they connect the lifting arms to the main frame and platform, or each cylinder present to the structural parts that interest them. Without these or due to the breakage of even one of them, the mobility of the bank is compromised and even if it continues to work it becomes very dangerous. To remain stable in their working position, the pins must be locked with pin stoppers that are sometimes very simple, other times more articulated and complex. The most common pin stopper today consists of a sort of pin with a perforated eye that is inserted inside a hole drilled on the pin, other times the same function is done thanks to rectangular or horseshoe-shaped plates. Finally, some pins are real large screws or bolts at the end of which there is a fine-pitch thread. Well, in this case they are self-locking ring nuts that will guarantee a stable connection to prevent leakage during the use of the structure.
