The lifting cylinders deal only and exclusively with the vertical movement of the bank, therefore raise and lower the platform. Generally, depending on the tail lift models, there can be 1 or 2 lifting cylinders. In most cases, there will be four cylinders in the tail lift and the innermost ones are the lifting cylinders. They are connected on one side to the main beam or frame of the bank and on the other to the frame of the lifting arms. In some cases, in the tail lifts with a smaller capacity (500, 750 or 1000 kg) it is possible to find two cylinders instead of four, in this case the lifting cylinder is normally the left (or driver's side).
