The hydraulic motor, unlike the electric one, is not electrically driven but hydraulically, so it actually resembles a pump. It is used in tail lifts exclusively for the operation of ejecting and retracting from under the truck chassis of the reach model. The oil arriving under pressure from an inlet, rotates the shaft which gives the movement to pinions, which act on racks allow the tail lifts to come out. Similarly, by letting the oil flow from the opposite inlet, the direction of rotation reverses and the side retracts. The hydraulic motor is located in the side of the tail lift towards the truck cab and is visible from the outside.
