Cartridge

Valve cartridges are the mechanical part, where the oil passes, of a solenoid valve. The cursor inside it is moved by the magnetic action generated by an electric coil that partially surrounds it. This electrical impulse makes it open, letting the oil pass or not at the point where the hydraulic system is located. In a tail lift, the valves can be found in the hydraulic control unit, in the cylinders, near the hydraulic motors or in any case at crucial points along the system, where the flow of oil must be controlled. The most common are 2-way which can be: SA or SE (single seal) and DA or DE (double seal). SA valves always let oil pass in one direction, but block it in the opposite direction, so it is necessary to energize the coil when it needs to pass. The DA valves, on the other hand, block the flow of oil in both directions and therefore only let it flow when energized. In addition to these, there can also be 3 or 4-way valve cartridges in the tail lifts, which have multiple oil outlets and once mounted in their groove depending on whether they are energized or not, they make the oil pass through different pipes at the same time. Obviously, they also differ in the diameters of the extremity, the different fixing threads, the diameter of the pin where the coil is mounted, whether or not they have manual release.
